TraceMyIP UnFiltered Stats for WordPress

Category , , ,
TraceMyIP WordPress plugin is an advanced website visitor tracking system integration that is specifically created for WordPress.

The plugin combines TWO tracking systems into one:

  1. Website Visitor Tracking using an advanced tracking console that uses the data by TraceMyIP remote SaaS database
  2. Built-in UnFiltered Stats local tracking module that logs raw, unfiltered data to the WordPress’ local database while using supplementary processing by TraceMyIP

Both systems collect data independently and are available for simultaneous access by webmasters. However, they differ by the methods used to process the visitor traffic.

The difference between the systems

1. Primary Website Visitor Tracking Service (SaaS)

This visitor tracking service can be accessed by clicking on the My Projects link located within the TraceMyIP WordPress admin menu. This will take you to the main login screen of the TraceMyIP service. The visitor tracker needs to be configured, and a visitor tracker code placed into your WordPress TraceMyIP plugin configuration screen, which can be accessed by clicking on the Visitor Tracker Setup option in the TraceMyIP menu.

The main tracking system provides true real-visitor detection and filters out artificial traffic and connections that mostly do not indicate real visitor website browsing activity. It also filters out any page views with browsers that either not completely load the pages or significantly alter web page appearance by removing scripts, ads and other web page elements.

TraceMyIP primary tracking console provides advanced features like

  • Designed to track cumulative and individual visitor tracking statistics and conduct long-term surveillance of each visitor’s activity
  • Simultaneous tracking of up to 95 instant real-time website stats on the same project page
  • Individual visitor IP tracking
  • IP activity history
  • IP address changes
  • Conversion of IPv6-to-IPv4 Fallback (Dual Stack)
  • Individual targeted website visitor activity email and console alerts
  • Long-term statistics and raw access CSV file download
  • Visitor GEO location and maps
  • IP address tagging
  • New visits sound and email alerts
  • Visitor IP blocking, redirecting via logic and data rules and more…

2. Complementary UnFiltered Stats Stats (Internal WordPress statistics module)

This module can be accessed by clicking on the WordPress built-in dashboard, which will display the UnFiltered Stats statistics panel upon WordPress plugin activation. The module can be deactivated at any time under the UnFiltered Stats settings screen.

The UnFiltered Stats module is designed to provide a quick overview of raw request activity on the WordPress site. The data is minimally filtered and shows any connections to your WordPress site. The collected data includes hits from web scrapers, bad and good bots, ghost traffic, proxies, web cache applications, search engine pingers, browsers that block most elements of a web page like ads and even essential scripts that significantly alter web page appearance, and more. It provides additional insights into the activity behind the scenes.

UnFiltered Stats is designed to:

  • Deliver essential visitor traffic overview statistics
  • Complement the filtered statistics as provided by the primary visitor tracking SaaS service
  • Provide statistical data that other website statistics services could not capture due to web tracking filtering
  • Provide daily access charts for the last 30 days or more
  • Count the number of hits per WordPress post, page, custom post type, articles and display the counts directly on the post view pages
  • Embed Real-time statistics on currently active WordPress site IPs
  • Provide raw access list of of both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses connecting to a server

Both systems complement each other

The Primary Visitor Tracker system (Saas) delivers the most comprehensive data and feature-rich options, while the UnFiltered Stats (Local) module provides supplemental information about the gross total access to your site.

Please note that although UnFiltered Stats collects data independently, it requires a connection to its parent service for regular data maintenance. Therefore, a Primary Visitor Tracker (SaaS) must be installed to continue using the UnFiltered Stats and to receive unfiltered statistical data.
