This is by the design of the billing processor. If you&#8217;d prefer to continue using the service until the end of your current billing period, we recommend waiting and cancel your account within 24-48 hours of your cycle\u2019s renewal date.<\/p>\n<p>Before proceeding, please remove all visitor and page\/link tracker codes from your website. Ensure these codes are completely deleted and no longer appear in the &#8220;source code&#8221; of your site.<\/p>\n<p>To verify that you have removed all code instances, you can right-click on a web page, select &#8220;View Source&#8221; from the menu, and search for TraceMyIP. If you have a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tracemyip.org\/learn\/what-are-the-benefits-of-a-paid-subscription-448\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"51\" title=\"What are the benefits of a paid subscription?\">premium subscription<\/a> with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tracemyip.org\/learn\/how-to-make-a-visitor-tracker-invisible-91\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">invisible tracker option<\/a> enabled, please disable it for all projects first. This will help ensure you can properly verify the removal of all tracker codes from your website.<\/p>\n<p>The steps below will terminate your account and permanently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tracemyip.org\/learn\/how-to-delete-an-account-582\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">delete all account data<\/a> after a grace period during which you can still recover your account if required.<\/p>\n<h3>Free subscriptions<\/h3>\n<p>Free subscriptions are renewed manually, and if not renewed, the system will automatically close your account and subsequently delete the entire account and all data automatically. However, if you need to cancel your free subscription immediately:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Login to your account<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to &#8220;<strong>My Projects<\/strong>&#8221; page and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tracemyip.org\/learn\/how-to-delete-a-project-or-erase-project-data-266\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">delete all your projects<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Discontinue using your account and disregard any system email messages about your account<\/li>\n<li>The system will automatically delete your account and all data once it&#8217;s flagged as unused<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>PayPal subscriptions (recurring only)<\/h3>\n<p>If you <strong>have a yearly<\/strong> PayPal subscription, your account will be automatically closed at the end of the subscription period.<\/p>\n<p>If you <strong>have recurring<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tracemyip.org\/learn\/updating-a-subscription-level-using-paypal-payments-1609\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"34\" title=\"Upgrading a subscription level using PayPal payments\">PayPal payments<\/a>, please follow the steps below.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to your TraceMyIP account<\/li>\n<li>Go to &#8220;<strong>My Account<\/strong>&#8221; &gt; &#8220;<strong>Status Page<\/strong>&#8220;. Locate section &#8220;<b>Current Subscription<\/b>&#8221; and click on the [<strong>manage]<\/strong> link located next to &#8220;<strong>Payment Type : PayPal<\/strong>&#8221; and follow the steps provided<\/li>\n<li>For detailed instructions, please see <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tracemyip.org\/learn\/managing-paypal-recurring-subscription-payments-2938\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">managing your PayPal subscription<\/a><\/strong> article<\/li>\n<li>Stop using your TraceMyIP\u00a0 account<\/li>\n<li>The system will flag your account for permanent deletion.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Credit card subscriptions (recurring only)<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Login to your TraceMyIP account<\/li>\n<li>Go to &#8220;<strong>My Account<\/strong>&#8221; &gt; &#8220;<strong>Status<\/strong>&#8221; page. Scroll the page down and click on the [<strong>Manage Subscription<\/strong>] link located in the &#8220;<b>Current Subscription<\/b>&#8221; section<\/li>\n<li>On the bottom of the page, click on the [<strong>Cancel<\/strong>] and proceed as instructed<\/li>\n<li>Your account will be immediately canceled and flagged for permanent deletion<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>After a grace period, once your account is deleted, there will be no option to recover your account since the system does not retain any data or account information after the deletion command is executed.
